Our ideal candidate is a team player who comes to work on time with a smile on their face. Must be friendly, dependable, enthusiastic about food, able to skillfully handle customer service, and be ready to jump right in.

Job Description:

• Greet all guests entering Ice Cream Social with a friendly welcome.

• Serve ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, smoothies, and coffee according to customer requests and Ice Cream Social guidelines. 

• Process transactions at the Point of Sale (POS) with efficiency, handling all transactions with accuracy.

• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station and shop environment while following all regulations as detailed by the local Department of Health.

• Practice safe food handling and personal hygiene.

• Have a great attitude, be flexible and reliable while working in a fast paced environment. 

• Restock inventory as needed. 

• Wash dishes and equipment according to Westchester County Department of Health Regulations.  

• Willingness to support and participate in parties, events, and community service initiatives hosted by the company.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be vaccinated.

• Pass a food safety course (we will pay for your course if you haven’t taken one yet)

• Experience working a counter (coffee or food service) is a plus.

• Flexible/open availability is a plus

• Ability to be punctual and thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent Customer Service Skills

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• You are able to work a flexible schedule of late nights, weekends, and holidays - based on the needs of the business.

• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day and able to lift at least 10 lbs.

• A strong desire to work at a place with a respectful and fun work culture. It is ice cream after all!
